Woohoo!! After 2 years long of service, i've finally O-R-D at last! It was indeed a load off my shoulder or rather, a relief at that instance when i received my pink IC. Freedom! Freedom! I missed my pink IC so much! Muackz muackz! That's what every NSFs long for, since the first day of their enlistment. Haha...from tomorrow onwards, no more booking in, no more parade state and no more reporting anymore! Song~

This video was brought to my attention by Mak. I was truly AMAZED and ASTONISHED when she sang her heart and soul out loud infront of so many live audience! It is indeed a classical example of not to judge a book by its cover. We should be ashamed of ourselves if we ever hold such cynical views on others.


Goodness! Gosh! She has such a beautiful voice and it really touched my heart to hear her sing. It was a real pleasure and privilege to be able to watch such an impressive performance. Enjoy!

Yes, its so unfortunate that i'm currently suffering under a gastric reflux. The pain just doesn't seem to leave me. My gullet feels so sore now, eating and drinking will only amplify the pain. So what exactly is "Gastric Reflux"?

DEFINITION


Gastric Reflux, also referred to as heartburn, is a burning sensation and pain in the stomach and/or chest, behind the breastbone. It often occurs when hydrochloric acid backs up into the oesophagus causing senstiive tissues to become irritated.


DESCRIPTION


Gastric Reflux is a back flow of acid into the oesophagus. The oesophagus is the tube which all food passes down after being swallowed. This tube connects the throat to the stomach. A valve between the stomach and oesophagus usually prevents backflow of stomach contents. In certain individuals this valve may be weak, or there may be increased pressure within the stomach forcing acid upwards.


Gastric Reflux is often associated with obesity, pregnancy, overeating, bending, lifting, lying down too soon after eating and smoking. Gastric Reflux may also be brought on by acidic food or drink (tomatoes, orange juice and cola) and by alcohol, especially fortified wines and spirits. Hiatus hernia may also cause Gastric Reflux. Gastric Reflux occurs to some degree in all people but is usually cleared by contractions of the oesophagus and neutralised by swallowed saliva.
A dull, gnawing, steady, mild to moderately severe pain is characteristic of peptic ulcers. See your Doctor if you have any of these symptoms. Other complications of chronic Gastric Reflux include inflammation of the oesophagus, an increased risk of oesophageal cancer, anaemia and ulceration of the oesophagus.

At last i took up the courage to book a dental appointment for my wisdom tooth on last wednesday! Yeah, i have been delaying this for very long since last Dec. Its not that i'm busy or plain lazy, i guess i'm just too chicken for it. The thought of the anaesthetic injection to the extraction and the pain that i've to expect throughout absolutely freaked me out to the core! Especially when i keep hearing similar painful stories from my colleagues. I seriously don't know how i even got that bravery all of a sudden. Perhaps it could be due to the cost of extraction if i do it after i ORD. However, with 11B, all expenses will be subsidised fully (^_^)V!


So everything came in a rush and swift on last Wednesday. Through the referral from the dental MO, i managed to book an appointment at Alexandra Hospital for an X-ray on my mouth on the same day! The X-ray revealed that i'm required to extract 4 impacted wisdom tooth to prevent any further problems in the future. They were located top and bottom at both left and right side! Before i could even recover in time from the shock, i was already scheduled for my first surgery on last Friday and the following Friday, which was yesterday!! O.O||| I was so stunned and i wasn't even mentally prepared to have the extraction so soon! I've never expected things could run so "efficiently" from just a pre-check up to the finalisation of an extraction in just 1 single day!


Oh well, at least i've finally completed both back to back surgery and resting at home right now. Fortunately for me, it wasn't so much of a pain that i had to endure. The hassling part is having 4 "lobangs" in my mouth, where all the food always stuck there without fail!! Machiam like a parking lot like that. I've to keep using the syringe giving to me to flush out the remaining food particles in the "lobangs" after every meal. This should last for quite a long time i guess, haiz...

It has been 5 days like that already. There was no conversation, no sms and absolutely no contact at all. Haiz...I feel so sad now argh!! I don't wish to give myself any excuses for such things to happen. I'll just have to wait till i got contacted again then. Haiz.......


Furthermore, my left ankle has been giving problem for the whole day. Very pain and plus i'm also having a headache now. Sianz...makes me feel even more like shit. So disappointed in the way things are going on. Why like that? I'm such an asshole...=(
