C++ review

It has been like 2 years since i've last had any contact with C++ or programming. The last time was the JC2 coursework on object oriented programming which was our last coursework for the syllabus. Since then, I have absolutely lost touch with C++ liao. All my computing notes are currently with Xiao Ling. I'm left with only the very fundamental notes with me in the hard disk. John was asking me to help him get started with the basics of C++. So i was at his place for the whole afternoon teaching him the syntax, structure and so on for the programming language. At the same time, i also took the opportunity to do some recollection of it as i go through the notes. If not for John, i wouldn't have realised that i'm already rusty liao. For instance, methods on declaring customised functions all that have been returned to my JC tutor. Couldn't remember how to do the declaration. Haiz i really got to do some review on all the computing stuff liao if i am determined to take obtain a degree on computing. I don't wish to screw up everything again.

*Yawn*...i feel so damn tired and sleepy now. Had a 2 hours long intensive basketball game just now with the foreigners. Felt so good to perspire like mad sia. Can burn calories! Haha...I want to jump higher!!! Think i should start doing frog jumps everyday! Hopefully i don't give up so easily man. Theres so much that i want to train! Haiz...I don't seem to have enough determination to go on. Perhaps some motivation will be helpful, but then i have no idea where to find the motivation. Shall see how ba...

Enough!

"Tuck Min! Tuck Min!", i am getting so sick and tired of hearing it in the office. This "Tuck Min", that also "Tuck Min", why must it always be me?! Is it because i am too helpful or what?! Even when i'm already occupied with loads of work while others were idling around, reading newspaper and dozing off, they keep coming to me and not others! Why must it always be me?! Why can't they just leave me alone?! I've tried pushing it away, but the moment the arrow was diverted to whoever, he can just happily report sick and get MC the next day just to avoid the job. Eventually, the arrow came back to me!! What the hell!! Besides my own work, i still have loads of ad hoc things to do plus doing what they were told to do! They just happily wash their hands off and expect others to clean the shit off their ass. I've had enough of these selfish acts!! So so tired le....

Sometimes, i just feel that i'm taken for granted for being nice. Superiors like that and sometimes friends also like that which is really sad case. I am not the type that will turn away from people when they need my help. I will feel bad when i reject someone's request for help. So most of the time i'll try to help as much as i can. As a result, i often ended up "taking up" alot of things or in another words "sai gang". Maybe that's one of the reasons why things are turning out this way. But that doesn't mean i can be exploited or what lor! Its not that i don't wish to help. But based on past experiences, there will always be a second, third and fourth subsequently whenever there is a first time. Sooner or later, it becomes an obligation naturally. Yes i can swear and guarantee 100% plus chop that this will happen most of the time!!!

Now, even blogger is playing tricks on me for not saving my draft! I am actually re-writing this entry! I don't feel good at all about the things that are going on right now. =.="

Weekend at last!

I am soooo glad and thankful that its Friday at last!! It has been a rather busy week with all the work that i was assigned to do. Work never failed to stop haunting me and its always "Tuck Min!" and "Tuck Min!" as if i'm the only person who is at their disposal. Or is it because my name is always the first to go to their mind whenever they need assistance. Duh! I'm not the only one around there to render any assistance!

Besides, my throat still isn't getting any much better. I've always wanted to see a doc since last week when i was banged hard on the throat just right below the Adam's apple. However, where can i find the time? There's always task given on the day itself and to be completed on the next day. I'm just like the cantonese saying "得闲死唔得闲病", direct translation would be "free to die, not free to fall sick".

At least Jun Ming and Mun came up to clementi in the evening with me for dinner at Botak Jones la~~Something that i was quite looking forward to. While waiting for Mun to reach, Jun Ming bought a scratch card to try his luck. We were already so excited la when we won only $8! Lolx...

We didn't have anything in mind of what to do after the dinner though. Initially, we wanted to have some deserts for supper but ended up doing some window shopping in Bugis junction and browsing through some books in Kinokuniya. I came across a book that teaches some basic Japanese for beginners! Haha...for example things like "Namae Nante Iu-Ro" (What is your name?) and "Nansai" (How old?). Kind of interesting though, was fooling around with it and laughing like mad with Jun Ming. Haha...yeah we also created a new hand sign - "Shallow" for our "Fu Qian" san, Hui Mun. Shallow~~ Haha...had a really great time, just in need of company to cheer me up for the hectic week. So happy that its Sat tomorrow! Going to have Dim Sum for breakfast! Oh well...I want to watch "The Dark Knight" and "Red Cliff" :(

Farewell Candy!! >.<

Candy should have already left Singapore on the plane to Australia by now. She'll be there to pursue her studies at the 'University of Queensland'. It should last for around 2 years i guess. She will only be back in Singapore for holiday after 1 year later!! Awww man...I am already missing her so much! Couldn't bear to part with her lor, felt so uneasy and sad when she was entering the departure point. I've never thought of how much i'd have missed her presence. Not used to not having her around man. I believe Jo and others are feeling the same as well. Although 1 year is 'long not long, short not short', it would be 365 days before her return!! Hopefully everything goes on smooth and well for her over there. Luckily, there are means like msn and email to communicate, at least we can know what is happening to her over there.

So tired!! Just managed to reach home from airport at this time because we couldn't catch the last train back home. Had to take the train back to Tanah Merah station and took a bus home there. Unfortunate events really come after one another! Turned out that the last bus 31 was gone as well! Haiz...Can only take bus 12 to Kallang MRT and then slowly walked home with John from there. Had quite a nice and long chat with him during the walk. In fact, it has been quite some time since i last had such a nice 1 on 1 conversation with my kakis.

GS Cohesion

I Just had my very first cohesion with all the staff of GS Branch at Marina Square in the afternoon. There were 8 private cars available in my office to bring everyone down to the venue for lunch. Kuma and I were supposed to hitch a ride from my boss along with Molly. However, we found out last minute that the 'Lucifer' will be tagging along as well. It would be a real nightmare man! Can't imagine being in same car and having to listen to her voice and her "Why ah? Why ah?" throughout the journey from Boon Lay to Marina Square. I would rather jump off the car than tolerating. Luckily there was LTA Thai Jun to save us from the agony! Quickly siam to his car to seek refuge liao!! Haha..

We headed to 'Yuki Yaki' for lunch buffet. Sat on the same table with Kuma, Molly and Encik Segaran. Kuma was simply crazy over the prawns there while me with the sambal fish. We kept chionging them till we were so bloated. We also had a chance to try out the our own self-made ice cream available there. All we did was just pouring in the flavoured liquid onto the frozen pan and wait for it to freeze. Then we can scrap it up to the plate and eat liao. Conghan and LTA Thai Jun were happily playing with it and mixing the flavours together. The taste is kind of ermm...weird though haha..

Time for some exercises after eating so much man! We went for bowling at the alley beside the Golden Village. Grouped into groups of 5, we commenced the mini competition without further ado! I've always been quite a poor bowler and it was once again proven when i finished game 1 with a total score of 89 i think. Moreover, I had a couple of 'drainball' as well, which is so embarrassing la!!! It was only slightly better when i finished game 2 with about 106 points. FINE! I admit i really suck at bowling! Haha...My boss was the "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon" one lor! He claimed that he is not very good at bowling but then he ended up being the top bowler in my group!! Game 1 was 138 and game 2 was 116. There were a couple of strikes for him as well. I started to question myself who's actually the noob one man =.="

Nonetheless, I believe everyone of us did have a great time at the cohesion even though it was just a rather small scale one. It's ok!! Hopefully we can have a really large scale one at the Sentosa next time!! Haha...

Peaceful and dry

I've been feeling so lethargic ever since i woke up this morning! I slept at 11pm last night le lor, but still so exhausted. Stood through the journey to Boon Lay on the MRT and KO-ed totally on the camp bus. If not for Kuma, i believe i wouldn't be able to wake up as we arrived at our camp.

My boss is still on overseas leave, quite a peaceful day indeed. No fire, no ad hoc stuff and no sai kang. Spent most of the time slacking around and playing the 3X3Rubik's cube. Fell asleep gradually in my own cubicle but not for long. So damn sleepy and tired, don't know why. Furthermore, the time seemed to be passing so slowly today. Plus, there is an annoying person who never fails to piss me off. Keep coming to my place and say stupid things when i'm already in such a bad mood. Have been trying to ignore him the whole day. I was so relieved when the clock striked 1730. Time to knock off at last!!

Anyway, my feet still hurts when i walk but i don't really feel anything when i run or play basketball! Weird man...But at least my ulcers ok liao. Phew!!...
