TP cleared!!!

Yay!! I've finally got the time to blog about this great news that came yesterday! My wish has came true at last, being able to 1st-time-pass my class 3 driving license haha! I started my Basic Theory Test in November 07, driving lessons in January 08, passed my Final Theory in Feb 08 and TP in May 08. It was all cleared on the 1st attempt! Total amount spent was about $1950, which is equivalent to my 5 months of NSF pay from January to May! T_T sobx..Oh well, at least it was worth it.

Come to think of it, this license didn't come easy. During the course of training, i've came across lots of problems, came out with lots of stunts and met good/bad instructors. Especially even on the actual TP day itself, it was not easy at all.

In the circuit, i would say i did much better than expected. The tester is truly a huge fan of Christopher Ho man, me really kena the 'Christopher Ho' style. Everything was going fine despite the fact that i got 4 demerit points for nothing. The tester claimed that i did not look behind the rear screen as i was doing the parallel parking. Oh well, so be it. I managed to deprive the tester a chance to test me on E brake! There was supposed to be a straight road leading to the zebra crossing outside the admin building. That was the only last chance that he could have given me the E brake before we go out to the public road. However, as i formed up at the lane, i noticed there was a car behind me. Therefore, i purposely slowed down the car abit and let the car catch up right behind me as it was travelling at a relatively fast pace. Eventually, the car was so near to mine that the tester couldn't give me the E brake at all due to safety reasons. Haha...cheers!

However, the test route 8 that i got, was like a minefield yesterday. It was really full of shit when rare events started to appear yesterday. First there was a stupid cushion lying in the middle of the junction. @#$%#& cost me 4 demerit points for not checking my blindspot while i was avoiding it!! Then there was this fucking bastard lorry driver who horned me at the "turn left on red" sign. It was red light, so i stopped first, check out for any pedestrians crossing before i started to inch forward to check the main road for any cars coming. My view was already blocked initially, how did i know if there was any car coming if i didn't inch out first to check? I'm not the lorry driver with some extra height that blessed him with a better view!! That bastard kept horning at me for being slow in turning out. Hello?? I was not a qualified driver like him, i was just a testee at that point in time. Does he have to be so mean to new drivers like me? Come on la, give people a chance to learn lor. I was so damn pissed back then as it cost me another few more demerit points.

By the time i drove back to CDC, i was already so depressed lor...thinking that i most probably would have broken it. Then the tester went on and on to talk about my mistakes in the briefing room. Hmm...Only half of it entered my brain, i was more eager to know about my results than paying attention to him (i believe it applies to all testees). So as i set my eyes on the assessment booklet, i began counting the number of demerit points i had as he flipped page by page to check back my mistakes. Omg!! I was surprised! I couldn't believe i passed my TP, i was overjoyed!

For now, while my photocard license is being processed (2 to 3 weeks), i can drive with the temporary license issued to me. Haha...my class 3 license allows me to drive both manual and auto car. Looking forward to the day i can drive out my bro's car for dinner/supper with my kakis. Wahahaha supper time!! =)

Make it or break it

Gosh!! The thought of having my TP tomorrow is making me so anxious and excited!! Its either i make it or i screw up everything tomorrow. I want to clear it once and for all but i am losing confidence in my circuit! Today's final revision lesson was average. The instructor had even introduced me to the 'Christopher Ho' style of testing. I've to admit that this style is enough to screw me absolutely upside down. It makes people do turning to another destination suddenly at the last moment. It is named after a notorious tester by the name of Christopher. He never fails to use this method to screw the testee. Psychotic bastard =.=||...I am praying very hard that i get a very nice tester tomorrow. Argh!! I have been having a premonition for the whole day, a bad feeling that i might break the TP. Haiz...Like what i always say, "eat rice or eat air" depends on tomorrow liao.

Congrats to Yu Zhu!!~

Yay!! Congrats to Yu Zhu for getting her driving license!! Glad to have received such a great news from her. Feel so happy for her. Her intensive hard work and practise for the past couple of days have paid off well. Luck was indeed on the side of the birthday girl-to-be. Blessed with quite a nice tester so that she wouldn't have to drive under extra stress. Hmmm...should be one of the best present she has ever received!

Now that she has gotten her driving license, next would be my turn man. My test is this coming Sat, 24 May 08. Tomorrow would be my final revision prior to TP. Hopefully, i can leeched some of her luck and pass my driving test as well. Argh! I want my license badly...

Happy 20th birthday John!

Argh...I'm so tired now, and i still have duty tomorrow sianz...Anyway, want to wish John a Happy 20th birthday!! Have a great and fruitful year ahead! Haha...Generally spent the whole day out with him, Yuen Shein, Guo Xin, Candy, Jo and Jasmine for Hi-Tea buffet at the Zhou's Kitchen. Each of us paid like $21 per person. The place was almost full house when we arrived there. Fortunately, we made a reservation beforehand, at least theres already a table secured for us. As for the quality of the food, i wouldn't want to comment much. Can say is not bad ba. After the meal, we took some photos together and left the place liao.

We went for a movie at Plaza Singapura later on in the evening. Watched "Made of Honour", which is approximately 100 mins long. It was already 8+ pm by the time we finished watching the movie. Poor John, still got to book in at 11pm.

Oh ya, Jojo commented that I slimmed again liao is it. It was only 1 week that we didn't meet each other and i look abit different. Haha...i guess so? The last whole week i've been working out everyday!! Sat and Sun also went to play basketball becaused i am so damn bored at home. How to not slim down like that??!! =.=||

Si Chuan Earthquake

"亲爱的宝贝,如果你还活着,一定要记得,我爱你." (dear baby, if you managed to survived, do remember that i will always love you). These were the last words that was found on a mobile phone at the epicenter of the merciless 7.8 magnitude earthquake that shook Si Chuan. Next to the mobile phone laid a baby nestled safely under the arms of the mother. Unlike the baby, the mother wasn't so lucky to survive the tragedy. She sacrificed herself by using herself as a shield in order to protect her loved one from harm. With her last breath, she expressed her love for her child by keying in the last words into her mobile phone. At the same time, the innocent baby was still sleeping comfortably in her arms, oblivious of the situation.

The body of a child is carried home after being pulled from a collapsed school in Wanhang, Sichuan province.

A victim buried under the pile of rubbles.

Ahhh!! My Neck!

ARghh!! I've been having sort of a stiff neck for the last 2 days. Initially, the pain on my neck was bearable and i could still turn my head around, up down left right no problem at all. Until today, while i was on my way back to camp, the condition on my neck became worst. The pain is unbearable, even the slightest movement around my neck area is able to trigger the pain. I could hardly turn my head around, all that i could was to look straight ahead. On top of that, there was also an occasional headache whenever i accidentally turned my head.

Haiz...whole day kena disturbed by John they all, especially that Khor. Keep teasing me and talking cock to me. Made me laughed non-stop and at the same time, pain non-stop. They had to be in my front sight in order for me to talk to them lor. I couldn't really turned to my 'blind spot' and see. Each time when i need to look elsewhere i had to turn my whole body around, which looks very dumb la! Sadded...

Lucky my TP is not this week. If not i can prepare to fail liao. All the demerit points will definitely come from the offences related to 'blind spots'. Never check 'blind spot', change lane abruptly, fail to do safety check and etc. Good enough to let me accumulate 20 demerit points to fail liao. Haiz...think i going to see the doctor liao if my neck still cannot make it..

Belated resolution for 2008!

Hmmm...I realised that i haven't really got my new year resolutions nicely listed out for 2008. Even though it is already May now, i hope its not too late to fulfill them. The resolutions listed are in random order:

1. To obtain my class 3 driving license.
2. To exercise hard and slim down till i reach 70kg AT LEAST.
3. To be able to touch the basketball board with half of my palm.
4. To complete 2.4km within 10mins.
5. To read as many books as possible.
6. To save at least $200 per month.
7. To build up some muscles out of my flabby arms.
8. To dote and treat that Mojo Jojo better because she keeps complaining that i'm ill-treating and bullying her.

These are the things i have in mind so far. Don't think they are too much to ask for. Work! Work! Work towards my targets!!
