How often do we actually appreciate and cherish whatever that we have? How often do we cherish the care and concern that our parents are providing us with? Some people seem to have taken it all for granted, presuming all the things that were provided for as an entitlement.
Yesterday, while i was waiting to collect my medicine at the pharmacy in SGH, there were a mother and son sitting just a few seats away from me. The son is about 30+ years old and is mentally handicapped. The mother was around 60+ like that. I watched as she took out a sweet and slowly removing the sweet wrapper meticulously. The son took the sweet, popped it into his mouth and beamed happily at her. The main thing here is not about the sweet but is about the love and care that can be felt by the person eating it. The numerous sacrifices, time and effort put into taking care of him. It's never easy to do so. Furthermore, these sacrifices reap no returns.
Taking it as an example, do some reflections about it. All parents do not expect any returns for the love and care that they provide for their children. Their expectation is merely to hope that their children are well taken care of and live heathy and happily. So PLEASE! Do cherish them now as no one can predict what will happen tomorrow, the day after and etc. Don't wait until something happened liao then want to make up or regret, it's too late by then.
