By chance in office, i happened to come across this article in The Newpaper titled "Found: Blog shop that's reliable and its run by a 12 years old girl who's taking her PSLE exams this year."
"Inspired by other blog shop owners earning money by themselves", "Joyce" started her online business as early as December 2008. I was impressed with the kind of ambition and the maturity that was displayed. How many of us, at around the age of 12, would actually thought of earning their own pocket money and truly putting in the effort to do it. Perhaps, the most typical respond from us would be "I'm too young to start my own business."
However, Joyce proved most of us wrong with the achievement she has thus far. For her age, the average amount of money that she earns every month is good enough for self-sufficient. She can use it to buy things like stationeries, books and etc. Furthermore, according to her, "she had no start-up costs" which makes it even more possible for anyone to venture into online business. Although not all ventures are guaranteed with quite a success like "Joyce"'s, it gives everyone a fair opportunity to compete for the enormous market online. She is indeed an example for us to follow, instead of just sitting and shake legs, dreaming and dreaming about becoming your own boss, we should seriously brainstorm how we can make it happen. Who knows one day, anyone of us could be the next person to appear on "The Straits Time" or "The Newpaper"!!
